Responsibilities of the Role:
Open position for SRE engineer in reputed financial services firm.
The main goals of SRE engineers are to create scalable and highly reliable software systems.
Drive Site Reliability Engineering agenda to improve availability, reliability, and performance of services.
Experience in triaging incidents drive to resolutions and RCA
Build new systems/applications as per requirements. Coordinate build activities with external teams.
Identify tasks which can be automated and reduce manual work for the team.
Work on break/fix hands on Windows, AIX, and Linux platforms as well as interaction with external parties for critical issue or hardware / software support tickets.
Work on Strategic Projects related to DR testing, Automated failover, Next gen monitoring, System readiness.
Ensuring our systems are healthy, monitored, automation, fault tolerant and designed to scale.
Directly interact with business unit executives and project management teams to communicate operational status, key project status, and business value of services produced.
Provide clear communication/escalation/follow up and closure to business impacting events involving multiple Broadridge teams and external partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in Service delivery role for Systems Administration of Redhat Linux systems in a large-scale production environment
Knowledgeable in Middleware Administration in Apache, Tomcat, IHS, IISand Websphere
Working knowledge of Network Load balancing.
Thorough knowledge of good server and system administration principles.
Monitoring tools like SCOM, BSM, Datadog, Splunk
Strong functional knowledge of core protocols such as TCP/IP, SSH, SMTP, LDAP, NFS and DNS.
Have knowledge on ITIL process, change management, Incident management.
Having experience running Disaster recovery tests, application failovers.
Understanding of SSL certificates and chain certificates
