Job Description

Lab49 is looking for an experienced, innovative Product Designer. As a multi-disciplinary team player, you will work closely with our product designers, product managers and engineering teams, to design cross-platform mobile and web applications.

You will have a proven track record in building a definitive visual system at scale and developing an integrated visual language for the design system. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, understand constraints quickly, and be able to create intuitive, optimized, and brand-consistent mobile/web experiences.

We are looking for an experienced visual designer, as a bonus any hybrid UX/Product Designer experience. You will participate in strategic visual design and will bring design concepts to life with pixel precision.

In addition to visual design principles, you should be familiar with HCI, UCD methodologies, design cycles, and usability best practices.

You'll need to have:

• A link to your online portfolio in your resume. Your application will not be considered without a portfolio

• 5+ years of experience in designing and prototyping for mobile or web applications

• B.S./M.S. in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, or related field

• Demonstrated intuitive and engaging UI design with simple clean style and a pixel-level attention to detail via a portfolio

• Demonstrated fluency with Sketch/Figma and Adobe Creative suite

Not required but nice to have:

• Basic understanding of HTML 5, CSS3, Xcode/Swift, Java/Kotlin, and JavaScript
